Broccoli with onions and mushrooms:
This is another side with a twist.
Again start with some bacon or even a breakfast sausage. They are great for a hearty breakfast or a snack during the day. We are not going to use them in this particular recipe. I just wanted the grease/fat they released. You can skip this step and just use olive oil.
Steam the broccoli until bright green. Pre dice the onions and mushrooms. Warm up the frying pan with the grease or oil and lightly stir fry the onions and mushrooms. Add this as a topping to your broccoli and you got another great side dish.
