Mini Pies prplbass53 11/21/2006 09:12

Other Mini Pies:

Hooked on Lil Debbies or Dolly Madison Pies? Save yourself a ton of money and try this:
From the store: Frozen pastry shells, and any favorite filling

Let the dough thaw out. Cut the pie dough in 4 pieces. Work with it a little and then add your filling. Fold all the dough in the best you can. Cut a small slit on the top of the pies to vent the steam. Fold and bake at 350 degrees for about 25-30 minutes. Pie crust should be golden brown.

For that glazed effect. Add a cup of powdered sugar to a small pot with a cup of water and bring to a rapid bubbling boil. You want this to turn into thick syrup. Add a spoonful more of powdered sugar or a spoonful more of water until you have the consistency you want. Drizzle over the pies and let cool for 5 minutes, so the syrup hardens.

Hey like I said I am not a Pastry Chef, and your probably not one either. Donít worry about it. The pies may have an odd look to them when done but they still taste fantastic.

Original Recipe Idea: Inspired by Miss Debbie and Dolly
