Surgery was Tuesday Apr. 24 @ 6 am and at noon, I was transferred to ICU for 2 days and then to CCU until my discharge yesterday (Sunday) Apr. 29 at noon.
The procedure went flawlessly and now I have a 6-12 week recovery and healing process to endure. Since the ribs had to be broken to gain access to the heart chamber, I have been put back together with wire, stitches and glue.
The pains in the chest and left leg (where arterial grafts were harvested from)are subsiding slightly every day and will soon be a memory only.
I would like like to THANK all Eliters who sent their best wishes, e-cards and prayers. These were numerous and I was unable to thank everyone individually but the thoughtfulness and friendship I received is so much appreciated, words cannot describe the comfort I felt.
A BIG THANK YOU to a great Team that filled in for me during my brief but necessary absence.
I am back in the saddle again, a little slower perhaps for a brief time, but ready to ROCK!!! and ROLL!!!
Again, thank you all for your support.
And may God Bless you and keep you and yours now and always.
