Re: SR mikey444u     4/6/2006 14:38

While there is nothing in our Help Topics which specifically addresses this, our TDs are trained to ensure that matches are played in the order posted in pairings.

There are several reasons for this...

a) Players are not able to report loss if they 'hop ahead'.

b) Eliters site may encounter problems if both TD and player attempts to report losses simultaneously (with matches played in advance, this increases the likelihood).

c) Not all players are 'comfortable' playing in advance, as they rightly believe that their Round 2 opponents may want to start their match before the proposed early 3rd Round match has finished.

Rare situation indeed where 2 players in an SR will be so far ahead of a Round to allow both plenty of time to complete the match before next opponents are ready.

All TDs are trained to request that players ensure their opponents have finished their matches before inviting.

I suppose the only Rule covering this is to 'follow TDs instructions'.
