In HoldemP, the format is 1 x 3 most of the time and usually has quite a few Q4s, which is a little different format than most other leagues and the table set.
Over the past few days, there has been some confusion as to who sets the tables. Although it would seem as if it is not a big "deal" in Holdem as there are just 4 seats and they don't have colors, etc., please remember that although Eliters really doesn't care who sets the table, the Higher Seed has "earned" the right to make the table and choose his/her seat first. This holds true in Rated, Quarterly, and Random.
All of the HoldemP TDs have been asked to make a distinction in posting the pairs as to who has the top seeding as it is a little confusing on the pairings page.
Please keep this in mind and be patient when the tourneys start to allow the high seed time to set the table. If the high seed is NOT in the lobby, anyone may make the table and post for a timer.
If the high seeding is in the lobby, and has not set in a timely manner, the TD should make an announcement for anyone to make.
As for a "donator" being high seed and a sub replacing them. In my opinion, I would rule that the table is open to anyone due to the sub may not have "earned" the seeding that the original entrant may have earned. As stated, this is only my opinion and not an Eliters ruling other than my own. I am open to reviewing any suggestions on this as well. If you have any thought, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
