Many Elite Members have responded to post 12266 on the issue of how long an inactive player should survive on the "To-Date" (lifetime) rating lists. We had set this so guests could remain inactive 90 days, and Premium Members 180 days.
After further analysis, we agree that these stats would be more representative of the accomplishments of active players if we tighten up the inactivity standards.
In the "Current Players" (quarterly) rankings, the same activity periods as always will apply:
- Guests and Silver Members 3 Days
- Gold Members 7 Days
- Platinum Members 14 Days
- Diamond Members 30 Days.
We will not hold the "To Date" rankings to those same, scaled activity periods as we use on the "current" rankings, because this would defeat the purpose of a "lifetime" ranking system. We believe the 30-day inactivity period will suffice to quickly and effectively rid the rankings of names that skyrocketed to the top, and then became inactive and have never been heard from again.
Accordingly, effective immediately, we have reset the activity requirement for the to-date list to 30 days for all categories of memberships.
As always, of course, a member's name will reappear on the list when s/he plays a game and becomes "active" again by definition.
