I have been over the comparison charts numerous times over the years, bought countless numbers of golds, silvers for others, even just said what the hey and bought myself a plat for the heck of it. It's not that I can't afford any of it, It's the principle behind it. We have ten trucks and each one turns 7 to 10k a week and have parked them due to the rising cost of fuel. So it's not a matter of if one can afford the membership even though the prices IMHO are outrageous.
My point is that the benefits of being anything other than silver is actually pointless when it's all said and done at the end of the day. I love this league, think the world of it, but the fact is that for the price of what your paying those other options just don't compensate enough for what your paying for.
This is why I brought up an idea once about payouts in yeps to the winner(s) of a tourney based on a membership level rather than a distribution of what went into the pot like cases works. This would actually give a bigger incentive on a reason to play. Support for your account based on level of membership makes sense but the rest really doesn't if your never a winner or a seldom winner of a major event.
The other options I mentioned would also be a bigger incentive for buying a greater in value membership. Basically once you ever go higher than anything other than gold from my point of view is merely a way of boasting your membership level instead of giving you a true reason for upgrading.
