Ok, I have 1 more thing to say.
When I first became a SFTD, I was told, in writing and I quote:
Your main objective will be to host 24/7 Tourneys in all Yahoo! and Pogo Leagues (GD came later), using the Hot Tourneys System. We advise you when you have available time, to fill first your calendar with (home league) Tourneys, then start creating Hot Tourneys, (home league) must come first.
What this means is: You post up to host hots, you create your tourneys in your home league and then create the hots when it's time. I was always told that no SFTD should host hots in their home leagues.
Example: I post up for hots and start hosting hots at 11:45, I then create my home league tourneys starting at 11:45 and I host hots for 2 hours until 13:30. So, while I am hosting hots, no hot tourneys are created in my home league.
Every SFTD gets the same email from the SFTD Dirctor and they know the rules. I understand that some HA's won't let the TD hosts hots while hosting in their regular league, which I think is wrong, we are all supposed to be working as a TEAM. I have been approached a few times asking me if there was a rule preventing that TD to host hots while hosting their league and I said NO, which there isn't. I think this is preventing some very good TDs to apply for SFTD or even PSTD. I am not such an HA. I welcome any of my TDs to fill out the SFTD or PSTD Application. The only rule I have is that they do not host hots in their home league while doing hots. 1 or 2 is forgivable but not 2 hours worth and on Hottie Badge Week, yes, I run hots in my league as that what the BADGE is for, but that is the only time I have ever done that w/o hosting regular tourneys or I create on the non hottie spots, which in my home league is the :00 and the :30.
Hope this answers a few questions.
