It is amusing, no question about it. I guess we can take satisfaction from how they apparently love us enough to hate us...
However, on the issue of TDs who "turn their backs" on "admitted" purgees who return in new clothes, it's not that simple. Our rules for TDs and league admins are very clear: if the site allows a player to register, then s/he may play. If the registered player then breaks our rules, of course, s/he may be DQ'd, as any player would be.
In the case of a "suspected" multiple ID, a report is made to the VP Member relations. It's up to the corporate staff to issue sanctions when they are called for.
Bear in mind that if we did it otherwise, two very negative things could conceivably happen: 1. A TD might "assume" that "pattyjoemike101" was actually the banned player "ihateelite69" and DQ him/her/it, only to have corporate discover after the fact that "patty" was "legit", or 2. other players who don't like "ihateelite69" might create and register new IDs, claim to be the banned player in mufti, and create even more trouble for a person who's actually repented and is sitting out a suspension before returning as a well-behaved participant.
For these reasons, plus the fact that many (if not most) of our members play in several leagues, enforcement of rules regardin member IDs are left entirely in the hands of the VP Member Relations.
