Refusal to Start Match/Intentional Delay mikey444u     5/27/2005 16:16

Hello All

We have recently noticed in certain Leagues that players involved in 2 tournaments at once are deliberately avoiding making tables to commence play.

This is frustrating to the majority of eliters who wish tournaments to run smoothly, and without unnecessary delay. Therefore, we have added to Help Topic 2102 - Time Out - General Rules as follows...

"In Yahoo Games tables must be made before a timer is requested. In the case that neither team makes table, TD may put both teams on timer, warn both teams/players of imminent disqualification based on the intentional delay rule."

This was already the case, and simply makes it clearer to players that playing in 2 tourneys at once is no excuse for delaying tourneys. It is not simply a case of players being placed on timers, it is a DQ offence.

We hope this helps the majority of players avoid unnecessary frustration.
