Re: how can a player donated in a milestone XzWickedKittyzX      2/4/2009 08:53

The original post wasn't about soliciting for Yeps it was about somone donating Yeps to a TD to use towards a Bonus on a tourney, especially for a Milestone tourney.

Some people can of course offer to donate a large Bonus to a milestone, by donating a Silver Membership on a Big tourney. Or as others mentioned if you are a Gold Member or above you may transfer yeps to the host of said tourney so that they can use it in their bonus.

The mention of the "donation pot" comes from many suggestions given in the past where players would LOVE to be able to show their support for a TD having a big Milestone tourney, but they wonder if there could be a different way of doing that without actually registering for the tourney if they can't make it. This would be especially helpful in leagues like Euchre and Spades where it is more of a detriment to the tourney if someone registers knowing they can't be there.

So the original idea of the "donation pot" was not intended for TDs or other players to "solicate" Yeps, but rather it came from players that wanted to show their support to TDs. They could hit a "donate" button rather than the "register" button thus showing their support for the TD and also helping to make the pot bigger for those that are playing in the tourney.

I hope this clarifies things.

I must also put this disclaimer.....

***To my knowledge there are no plans to add a "donate" button to the tourney pages at this time.***

Thanks,
