Once again this is starting to become a problem so I am re-posting from an earlier post:
I am getting many emails that leaving a RR tourney prior to playing all rounds is getting to be a major problem, in a few leagues. Due to the unfairness of one player leaving and therefore determining the winner (as only the winner is awarded YEPs), we are stepping up the enforcement of leaving a Round Robin tourney before the winner is decided.
The first time someone does not finish and it could affect the outcome, a warning is issued. On the second offense, a final warning, and if there is a third, the offending member will not be able to play in the league for 14 days. Any additional offense after that will result in a 10-year ban from the league.
We do realize that once in a while a member will lose a connection and that is why the first time is minor, in comparison to continuing to play in RR tourneys without finishing them.
If you have any other suggestions on this matter at all, please do not hesitate to contact me at email@example.com. We are always looking at ways to better enforce our rules and policies while remaining fair to those that do not intentionally (and constantly) abuse them.
Thank you very much for your input and I hope to see you at the tables soon!!
