Re: Help Topic 2108 Making Tables UPDATE SlamDoc21     9/8/2013 19:07

Honestly, this rule statement
•All Pogo Tables must be made at the bottom of the Tables List so TDs can monitor the Matches on one screen."
should not be a demand unless the lobby is flooded and the TD id not advanced enough to use the button up top right of the lobby that toggles all of the recent tables made. (table or available buttons) We as Pogo experienced TDs used this option with tourneys (MS)or big events with over 10-20 players years ago. I for 1 still use those options if need be.
My point is, out of respect for the players of the League, some have favorite numbers that they like playing on. After all, it takes the players in order to get the tourney rolling. Plus with only 3-5 players playing in a tourney, why will it be so hard to find the players matched up? It would be lazy on a TD part to not be able to find these players.
For example in comparison in sites, how can any TD make all players get in a group of numbers in Yahoo? The only thing going in those lobbies are 3 things:
1. if they have their players as contacts and listed in blue, it's easier.
2. clicking on the button (tables) naturally shows both players on which table number.
3. clicking on the player's id and clicking watch, which will take them to the table of play unless the players are playing on multiple tables.
With this being said, there is the Eliters Messenger, players use timers or other issues for. This notifies TDs of MIA players rather in the lobby or not.
This is supposed to be fun. Not a demand of where a player should be sitting according to top or bottom of a lobby. Lots of times some lobbies only have a few players. It is not hard to click on table line up or scroll through chat or tables. Which in Pogo, if one clicks on the chat options, "table" in the Pogo chat, it lines the players up on the same table the same way it does in Yahoo.
So, one gets disqualified from a tourney because the did not set a table at bottom between 120 or 150 - 100-130. Then that is disrespectful to the player who will then likely say "well if it's a demand I cannot pick my favorite number, then I choose not to play here anymore."
And that's real talk. May be an opinion, but, if anyone think about the truth, it's a fact.
