I think this is great because I realize some of the savings associated with not having the burden of guests re-registering every 30 days.
However, I do not understand the economy of the league. I realize yeps are currency like dollars, but yeps can only be spent here, and Eliters does not get the dollars until someone either (a) becomes a member, (b) renews a membership, or (c) buys more yeps. Now the way I see it, the only way the economy grows is by inflation (more members or increased fees) or wealth distribution (low income players need to buy more yeps).
Now allowing guest refills does provide a means for redistributing the wealth to the low income players, but it does so in a manner that ultimately may not cause any increase in dollar revenue. I think guest refills are fine, but guests should also be allowed to buy more yeps, just as premium members are, but at a higher cost. If they never buy them, then nothing lost, we live with refills, but if they do, the league has more revenue, and as with any fee-based membership, ulitmately people realize that it makes sense to buy the annual subscription instead of buying the yeps monthly.
I still don't mind the ads and hope Issa can keep coming up with more ways to subsidize costs without increasing my fees.
This was more like my 3 yeps worth,
