You Asked – We’re Answerd!
The New EDS Rules Are Here!
Starting from the next period (1st January) the EDS Rules and Procedures regarding unplayed matches will change.
On 2 days each period you will be able to post a Win Claim for an Unplayed Match, but only if attempts have been made to play the match as shown in Help Topic 2634 :
Attempts to arrange and play must be made directly to a specific opponent (Player to Player) preferably using the Eliters Messenger or Email, a general message directed at all players will not count as an attempt to arrange or play your match.
You must have made several attempts (at least 3) throughout the whole period to arrange your match. Your claim may not be granted if you wait until the last few days to try to find your opponent.
You will need to get Screen Captures or other proofs that show that you have made attempts to arrange your match, and that you were present to play the match at the agreed time/date. If any emails are sent, the DPA of your league must be copied on the original correspondence.
The EDS Help Topics have been changed and you will find full details there:
2632 Matches Play
2634 Unplayed Matches
5152 Screen Captures (new topic)
We’re excited about offering this rule change of which many of you have asked. We realize there may be different opinions about the relevance and implementation; however, we encourage everyone to help us get through the first few periods of this change as we have laid it out. At that time we can truly evaluate the success and determine if changes are necessary.
The next period is open now & is due to start on 1st January at Midday,
