Re: Timers on Event tourneys s10blazzer      9/21/2008 20:26

This post was not just about the OLYMPICS events but all events. I know that when I hosted there, there was some complaints about the timer. In other games on pogo if the timer runs out that player just loses thier turn. but because pogo has set QWERTY up that if you extend the timer the player still gets to play.
If a person gets booted and the timer runs out its the same no matter if a word was played or not, the player got booted and because of pogo's delay that person's timer still runs and they run out of time. It has happened to me on many occasions. I know that in other leagues they have a slow play rule were the TD is called to the table and if the player is playing slow the TD can make a ruling. Maybe this would work better in QWERTY because of the way pogo has the timer set to let the player get another turn. Just a suggestion as I have heard players say they dont play because of the timer.
