Re: Timers on tourneys XzWickedKittyzX     9/24/2008 14:13

Please also note that only 19 players voted in that particular poll. As I stated in my previous posts there were A LOT of variables that went in to deciding to add forfeit timers as an "option" to our tourney types. Including numerous feedback in club posts AND e-mails. The option to play with "no forfeit timers" is still on our list of Tourney Types and may be scheduled for regular play and has been.

I believe I already mentioned this in my earlier post, but in case I wasn't clear....we ARE looking in to "mixing" it up a little more for scheduling of regluar tourneys. I also want to note that the HOT tourneys are set to default to a "no forfeit timer" option. So ALL Hot tourneys are played as such.

The original post that started this asked about setting "EVENT" tourneys with the "no forfeit timer" option. As I stated before, the EVENT tourneys usually attract a lot more players, sometimes up to 16 or 20 players. Therefore in the interest of time and not having 1 Event tourney take 2 to 3 hours, it is better to keep the timer.

One last thing. I also mentioned in my previous post that there were several people who were in the loop on the decision to use the "option" of "forfeit timers" in QwertyP. As the Pogo Leauges Director, I made the final decision to add this option along with the help of other Corp members and Qwerty Pogo Staff members. We all researched various sources of feedback as well as testing it. IF you have ANY further comments or questions concerning this matter, PLEASE direct them to myself rather than pointing at Qwerty Pogo Staff members.

Let's keep this peaceful and again remember that part of the reason Qwerty as well as ALL other games offered in Eliters has the options they have, is to keep the competitive element in our tournaments.

Thanks again everyone for your feedback and support of Eliters leagues. Happy Gaming!!!!!
