Re: No respect for the game prplbass53     6/28/2006 16:21

This thread is getting rather bothersome – especially as it appears to me (at least) to want to disparage a particular individual league that has absolutely no control over the original issue raised., and pardon me but a few individuals just seem to want to fight this out in the clubs.

Early – Middle and/or Late Conceding a match be it 1x1, 2x2 or 1x3 Leagues IS NOT a matter of Eliter’s policy and as long as I have been in the Eliter’s never has been. It is a player decision and regardless of our feelings needs to be a player decision without fear of reprisal or comment. The only exceptions I know of is: in 2x2 leagues or where Partner games are being played in 1x1 leagues, we ask that both “partners” agree to concede before one partner just leaves the table. There are special rules for RR’s and SRR’s you may look those up in the help topics.

I personally prefer to play any game I am to completion, no matter where I stand and those that have seen me play pool games that’s usually always at losing end. I certainly understand the many reasons why some others do not.

The issue of conceding has been brought up over and over again in the clubs. There is no answer that is going to please everyone and there will never be one – It is just impossible to do that.

I remind you that Eliter’s as a league, the individual leagues themselves, the HA/AA and TD have absolutely no control over this. To put down any league over this matter is excuse me just not right.

Now can we get back to just having fun? Thank You

Bass
