No matter what type of math you are trying to use or who's point is what... here's some truly simple math that everyone should be able to understand.
Tourney Entry Fee: 750 Yeps
Tourney Entrants: 6
Total Yeps Entered: 4500 Yeps
Bonus given by TD: 500 Yeps
TD's Yep Income from Above Tourney: 450 Yeps
TD's profit on above tourney: -50 Yeps
Bonus Given by TD would need to be less than 450 Yeps just to break even or make a few extra yeps for sitting there minimum of an hour voluntarily to host so you can play. However - the TD first must have the Yeps in their account to actually put a bonus on a tourney as the Yeps do not come from Eliters or Corporate but the individual TD.
Not all TD's can afford to bonus - Not all will even if they can, because of many other factors. The formulas Eliters uses for calculating Tourney Prizes and payouts can be found in the Help Topics and I'm sure are not up for debate. However, if you wish to discuss them or debate them, you can email Corporate as they will answer you via mail a hell of a lot faster than here.
If there is a tourney you wish to see a bonus on and have the means to get the Yeps to the Td to add, so be it - give them to them and have them add it.
The tried and true way to increase any tourney payout is for more to join the tourney. When more join, the pot gets bigger to spread around to the participants. Remembering in 2x2 those payouts you see are always doubled as you get one and your partner gets the same.
Another point in all this - in 2x2 - the tourney is NOT Full unless there are a minimum of 8 players entered. For those asking the Td to start at start time or 1 to 2 minutes after with only 6 in are only asking for the pot to be less. We do our best to get a minimum of 8 in each tourney but it's not always possible.
Now - let's get back to the fun & games...*tosses my ratings and yeps in the air* have them if you want - they are meaningless to me without the fun and friendships I've made.
