Dominoes (Pogo) Last Update: 6/8/2012

Dominoes Pogo has limited Game settings and many table settings. Check the rules for your tournament carefully before you set the Game or the Table.

Domino Game settings:

  • Dominoes Set is always set to Double Sixes (D6s) with spinners.
  • Scoring can be to 100,or 250 points, as specified in the tourney’s special rules.
  • Fives Up can be on or off, as specified in the tourney’s special rules.
  • Show Board Count Checked.
  • Draw Until Legal Play; can be Checked or Unchecked, as specified in the tourney’s special rules.
  • Forfeit Timer Unchecked.

Table settings:

  • Allow players to replace Unchecked.
  • Limit Players joining Unchecked.
  • Allow Players Checked.
  • Mute & Allow players Unchecked.
  • Make Table Rated; can be Checked or Unchecked, as specified in the tourney’s special rules.
  • Make table private Checked; with the password being eliters (all in lower case).
  • Use these Options Checked.

The option of whether to use black or colored dots will be the left to the discretion of whomever sets the table. However, if a player has problems with the setting, they need to notify the TD as quickly as possible (do NOT wait until play has gotten under way and points have been scored). We understand that the colored dots may be hard to see for some people and the TD will then ask the player to reset the table.

All Tables must be made at the bottom of the Tables List; to keep tables grouped together. This makes it easier on the TDs when checking the tables to see if set right for Tourneys, and monitor the Matches on one screen.

Pogo Dominoes supports only individual play. Eliters Dominoes holds SE, DE, RR, and SR Tournament Types.

It is possible for a Pogo Dominoes match to end in a tie. In such a case, Pogo forces the game to a new hand, and awards the win to whichever player scores first.

Within this framework, the following formats are approved for Eliters Dominoes tourneys:

  • 5’s Up
  • 5's up - Single Draw: Uncheck "Draw until legal play"
  • 5’s Up - Best 2 of 3: First to win 2 games wins the Match
  • NO 5’s
  • NO 5’s - Single Draw: Uncheck "Draw until legal play"
  • Game 59 - 5’s Up OR NO 5’s: Players to attempt to hit "59" points on the nose during the game. If either opponent hits 59, they win, game is over. TD should be called to verify score. If you pass 59 without hitting it, play to 100 and hope opponent doesn't hit 59.
  • Game 59 - 5's Up OR No 5's: Single Draw. uncheck "Draw to legal play".  Players to attempt to hit "59" points on the nose during the game. If either opponent hits 59, they win, game is over.  Td should be called to verify score.  If you pass 59 without hitting it, play to 100 and hope opponent doesn't hit 59.   unrated tables
