Tell us a little bit about yourself.
A bit reserved, dislikes smoking, lateness, and arrogance in people. Loves animals, detests abuse of any kind - especially animals, loves good food, good friend to those who matter (they know who they are), hates to have to do laundry especially ironing (yes we do that in South Africa), suffer from general allergies - hayfever and to bee stings, otherwise not much else. Very impatient.
What other interests or hobbies do you have (other than Eliters of course)?
Reading and going to the movies, doing Sudoku, occasionally knitting - but tend to take a long time to complete it - especially after my mom passed away - she used to encourage me and help me when I ran into difficulties.
How did you learn about Eliters and when did you join?
Through my lovely sister Linda (purcelin), last year sometime.
How did you pick your Eliters' Name - does it have any special significance?
Well I am nuts about dachshunds... my favourite dog breed - I have a sweet and spoilt one.
Tell us something unique or interesting about yourself that we are unlikely to know
I am a Senior Librarian in the Gauteng district. We are always strapped for cash and have tremendous demand for our services, which makes it a challenging environment. Oh, and when I first started driving, I hit our local library wall, which survived better than my nerves. I never said anything until I landed up working there many years later.
What makes Eliters special?
It is fun and friendly - with a great team.
What games do you play? Are there any other games you would like to try?
I play Cribbage, Canasta, Qwerty and Scrabble.
What is your absolute favorite game - and who taught you to play?
Canasta - my mom actually taught us -and she cheated like crazy too.
Do you currently hold any position in Eliters? Is there any other particular position you might be interested in?
I am an AGL in CribY right now. Don't know haven't thought much about it.
What is your proudest achievement in life?
Getting my driver's license at 40. Don't laugh until you know what it is like to drive here!
What is the most important thing for you in tournament play?
Enjoyment and winning occasionally, of course.
If you could offer one suggestion to improve Eliters, what would it be?
No just keep doing what we're doing - good variety of different games in a very professional environment.
If you had one wish what would it be?
Less crime, poverty and injustice in the world.
If you could use one sentence to describe the way you feel about Eliters, to a prospective new player, what would it be?
It is a friendly fun family oriented League that puts the players first offering a good variety of games and tourneys for all 24/7.
What is the most memorable experience that you have had as a TD or a player, online or at a live event?
Getting the TD of the month award - it was totally unexpected - but was most honoured.
What is the funniest thing that has happened to you since joining Eliters?
Being called nutz by some players - I am a little - how true lol.
If you could be one person for a day, who would you be and why?
Nelson Mandela - he is just an amazing person with a great sense of humanity.
You are given five minutes to evacuate your house, the kids and pets are safe - which three items would you grab?
Wow - um my phone, my ID and money.
How do you pass the time on your drive to and from work?
Listening to the radio - classical music mostly.

Ghost, Pursuit of Happyness and Shrek.
Do you have any particular heroes?
What is your guiltiest pleasure?
Eating chocolate while having a long, soaking bath.
When I grow up I want to be just like:
My sister who is also my best friend. And with whom I have shared the most laughs in my life.
