Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I'm at a time in my life where I like to spend time with my wife, kids and grandkids, traveling and fishing and combining all the above.

What other interests or hobbies do you have (other than Eliters of course)?

Other than what I put above, Iím in a whist card club with my wife and three others couples from college. I like all card games and playing live. I like candles and fishing all over the United States - not only for the fishing but also for the weather and interesting food and sites.

How did you learn about Eliters and when did you join?

My daughter (haha2105) introduced it to me in May of 2001.

How did you pick your Eliters' Name - does it have any special significance?

My nickname has always been Dino and there were 22 dino's already. The r is for my middle name.

Tell us something unique or interesting about yourself that we are unlikely to know

I have five adult children and 11 grandchildren who range from 2 months to 22 years old

What makes Eliters special?

The variety of games and no problems - just cards. You can play with the best and worst - it doesnít matter who you are.

What games do you play? Are there any other games you would like to try?

In Eliters I play Criby, Euchy, Holdemp, and occasionally Pooly, Spady and Giny. I would like to learn how to play backgammon (my daughter just offered to teach me)

What is your absolute favorite game - and who taught you to play?

I have two - 500 (which I really donít find online) and cribbage - my dad taught me how to play them both as a young kid.

Do you currently hold any position in Eliters?

Probably "loud mouth" in Euchy. If the game sucked, I tell them so. I don't mind losing; I just want a chance to play a good game

What is your proudest achievement in life?

Other than my family, it would have to be a successful business. My wife wouldn't have been able to retire otherwise and we wouldn't get to do the travelling we do now.

What is the most important thing for you in tournament play?

A fair game - no fun to win or lose by a lot.

If you could offer one suggestion to improve Eliters, what would it be?

Run more "rating" seeded tourneys, more non-hot tourneys after midnight and more "PS" pards in Criby.

If you had one wish what would it be?

That I had better health.

If you could use one sentence to describe the way you feel about Eliters, to a prospective new player, what would it be?

You can have lots of fun here.

What is the most memorable experience that you have had as a TD or a player, online or at a live event?

The live Chicago event a few years back where I got to meet over 20 Eliters. That was a lot of fun.

What is the most courageous thing you have ever done?

Getting in haha's weeklong tourneys.

If you could be one person for a day, who would you be and why?

A fishing guide - they guide all year round and love it!

You are given five minutes to evacuate your house, the kids and pets are safe - which three items would you grab?

Valuables, work files and my pills. I guess my wife is on her own.

How do you pass the time on your drive to and from work?

Carry a cup of coffee from the kitchen to the computer.

Name your three favorite movies.

"The Marksman", "The Bucket List" and "Aa Closer Walk with Patsy Cline" (that one is a play).

Do you have any particular heroes?

Its a tie between my wife for the way she interacts with family, friends and church - she has great patience, and my daughter Heidi for losing so much weight and keeping it off.

What is your guiltiest pleasure?

Black licorice nibs

When I grow up I want to be just like:

I always loved pitching in baseball and wanted to be just like Sandy Koufax.

Any last words for our readers?

You don't have to buy YEPs if you win.
