More about sunnyside088

How long have you been playing games online?

About 4 years.

How much time do you spend online a week?

Way too much, between work and Elite its never offline.

How did you learn about Eliters and when did you join?

My significant other at the time fell upon it playing in Yahoo! pool. I have no idea how I ended up in the Spades rooms because I never played Spades in real life before that. (Many, many are the partners I've had over the years that won't be surprised by that.)

When did you first become a Staff Member at Eliters?

There was just something about "the Rock" and the camaraderie, so I applied to become a TD about a month after joining Elite.

Tell us about your career history at Eliters.

I was a lousy player but avid Elite cheerleader, so within a month after joining Elite I was a TD. Fire surprised me in a TD meeting with a promotion to GL and upon his resignation Shaun as HA and myself as AA took over the administration of Spady as team. Was an awesome working relationship we had for nearly a year and a half when he stepped down and I became the HA of Spady. In the past month, I have also served as a member of the SFTD team helping to fill the calendars in a variety of Eliters leagues and meeting more members.

What is it in your background that prepared you for all this?

My real life job has lots of paperwork, scheduling and record keeping involved as well as planning and executing events. So that surely has helped. Bartending and Cheerleading must come into play somewhere too....there's always a party in the Rock or the Bistro.

Tell us about an event you scheduled that turned out to be an adventure.

My teaching career has been based in the inner-city both in Chicago and Michigan, the fall trips to the country to gather pumpkins and see the animals that they have only heard of is always an adventure. One never realizes how sheltered some are until you see an 8 yr old hold their first chick or bunny. Bringing the books they are to read "alive" through these types of events is one of my favorite parts of teaching.

And what do you do, for Elite that makes use of all these skills?

Plan, plan, plan and pre-schedule, pre-schedule, pre-schedule. The Spady staff will vouch for the fact that I believe whole-heartedly i4s about the "party in the lobby". A variety of people enter our lobbies for as many different reasons as there are screen names, but they stay because of the relationships and experience they have in an Elite family surrounding.

What leagues have you administered or been a TD in Elite?

I play Euchre, I'm trying to learn Gin (knock, knock, ugggh) and I shoot pool in the Olympics only cuz I promised someone if they taught me how to make the mouse work there I would. As I said above, I've just recently started hosting as a SFTD, so all leagues if they are available when I happen to not be playing in a tournament.

Obviously youve learned some new games since joining Eliters, other than Spades, what other games have you learned and which do you enjoy the most?

Euchre is my best and favorite game...I just don't make it there as often as Id like. I agreed to play in the Pooly Olympics if someone would teach me how to make the mouse work...ugggh@ Mikey trying to make me a shark. Gin I'm practicing and not just being a donation. Knuckle I played as a kid but can't for the life of me remember the meld thing when bidding. Would love to learn more games when I venture out of Spades.

Do you administer any real-life competitions?

Grade school is a real competition!!!!

What do you do in your time away from Elite?

Raise 3 wonderful children, work on computers, haul out the guitar and get lost in song.

What kind of music do you play and have you ever played for an audience or just for the enjoyment of it?

oh yes...lol and Eliters have seen me do karaoke at the Michigan party last year. I sing everything from gospel to pop/rock. I play guitar and piano, and when on the guitar with myself usually folk/soft rock.

What makes Eliters different from the competition?

The bond that is develops between the players in games and the clubs. The atmosphere of fun and fair!!!! Eliters is definitely always trying to be the step above, to be Elite!

What would you tell a prospective member who is trying to choose between Eliters and other, similar leagues?

There's something special about Eliters and that something is its members! The staff and players working together to come up with the most enjoyable online gaming experience possible can be seen daily league to league and lobby to lobby. If after 30 days of trying it out you aren't hooked, you must not have been here.

Well, that certainly sums it up, any last words for our readers?

Yep, yep, yep....Rock on Eliters and have those cans of spray paint handy....Girls Gonna Win! and we'll need help re-painting the Rock PINK!!!!
