Tell us a little bit about yourself - your hobbies; interests; passions in life.
I grew up on a wheat farm in Montana, and learned early on how to work hard and play whenever possible. Rode the school bus for 12 years, and worked in our grain elevator during harvest. Also, sometimes I drove truck. After 4 years of college and one of Medical Record Science, I jumped into the world of Medical Records. My resume has many hospitals and doctor’s offices on it, in Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Utah. It occurs to me that it went full circle, as my first job was in Milwaukie, Oregon and my last was Medford, Oregon. One year I had a job with CDC, traveling and reviewing and collecting information from records at chosen hospitals. They were looking for trends of infections picked up in hospitals.
What other interests or hobbies do you have (other than Eliters of course)?
Traveling has been a bit of hobby the last few years. Over the years I've done collecting: Elephants, Barbie Dolls, TY Beanie Babies, Hull pottery (not as expensive as Roseville.) After moving to Arizona, Indian jewelry became a focus. My husband got interested in “beading”, and we took a class on how to make jewelry. That’s not the silverwork, but stringing beads and stones. Hot air balloons – two times went to Albuquerque. A group of us in Oregon bought a balloon, and I’ve crewed, flown (passenger) many times. Never tire of it.
How did you learn about Eliters and when did you join?
October 4, 2003 I wandered into Beg2. Couldn't get anyone to come to table to play, they were all just sitting around, declining invitations. I asked in lobby why be there if not willing to come and play. Scrappie piped up and said there was a league that I should look into it. What fun it's been ever since. I think he actually came to table to do the invitation.
How did you pick your Eliters' Name - does it have any special significance?
We met a woman at our annual timeshare at Snowbird, Utah, who sold Indian jewelry from Four Corners. She used the name SilverladyUt in her email address. It was then that I chose silverladyAz as an offshoot. We purchased some of her items, and sold jewelry for a while. Made it my email, and just kept it as screen name lots of places. Now it pretty much describes me, since I quit dyeing my hair.
Tell us something unique or interesting about yourself that we are unlikely to know?
Fourty-five years ago I found I had breast cancer. Ten days after my mastectomy I was back in college, studying hard. Fortunate, in those days of “prehistoric” cancer treatment.

Any last words for our readers?
I’ve really enjoyed playing with everyone. It been fun meeting some of you in person, at the pino party in Oregon, and here and there where we’ve been able to get together. Remember, it’s all going to burn, so whether we win or lose, it’s just a game.
