Hilton, NY, where is that exactly?
Hilton, New York, is just west of Rochester, NY, and 60 miles east of Buffalo.
How long have you played games online, and what is your preferred play site?
Been online now for 7 years, and Yahoo is my preferred play site because of the ease of use compared to Pogo at the time.
How did you learn about Eliters, and when did you join?
I saw a spam in the lobby and then went to the Eliters website and joined October 31, 2001.
What made you keep coming back to Eliters?
The people and how professional and fun it is
When did you become a TD, and what made you decide to do so?
I joined as a TD November 15th, 2001 - I liked the way tourneys were run and how much fun the TD's were having and I wanted to help out the league.
What in your real life experiences helped you TD?
I am a Team Leader and Production Coordinator. These skills let me use scheduling and organizational skills. Also it helped me with dealing with people and other issues that came up.
What positions have you held in Eliters….and is there anything that you haven’t done that you would like to do in the future?
I started out as TD, then AGL, then GL and was AA of Euchy. I would like to eventully take on an AA slot again if my time permits, but I just like TDing and playing the best that I can.
What games do you play?
Euchre, Gin, Dominoes, Backgammon, Pool and Literati
Have you learned any new games since being a part of Eliters?
I learned Dominoes while with Eliters and have tried my hand at Cribbage and Literati.
What in your opinion is the best thing about Eliters
It is the ease of use of the site and the friendly staff, but most of all it is all the great players and the even greater friends I have met and come to love like my family.
What is the most memorable experience that you have had as a TD or a player, online and at a live event?
Well to say my 1st tourney I hosted wasn’t memorable would be an understatement. And now just surpassing my 1000th tourney hosted is just as special. But most of all, it is all the friends that I have met online and the lessons learned from them that will always stick with me.
What is the funniest thing that has happened to you while hosting or playing in an Eliters Tourney
Well one time I was playing a game and was IMing with my mom at the same time and she was just going to sign off and I didn't realize where my cursor was and I told my partner I loved him by mistake, lmao, boy was I red.
If you could only use one sentence to describe the way you feel about Eliters, to a prospective new player, what would it be?
We are fun, fair, friendly, family atsmophere and the professional way the whole League is run. And that problem players are dealt with and not left to ruin everyone's fun. So come and don't miss out on the excitement.
Who is the one person that you can say has helped you the most here?
There are 2 actully. First would have to be my best friend Jussy_Hussy (juss). The other would have to be my 1st HA mmcases and dr. cheffie, ooops that is three lol.
What do you do in your spare time when you are not online? Like real life stuff :)
I golf, watch the Grandkids, play sports, my granddaughter dance, yard work, soak in the hot tub, swim. Gonna try scuba diving this fall. And I am off to Hawaii in March.
And if you could be Balouza for one day, what would you do?
Issa does an excellent job and to tell you the truth I wouldn't want his job. He runs a great site and there is nothing I would change.
Any last word for our readers?
Remember to always have fun and treat people like the way you want to be treated. Love ya all, and see ya in Euchy for some fun games. Also, that my good friend Debzgame took over as AA when I stepped down, and that she is doing a wonderful job and we are all proud of her.
Comments from Eric's friend Debzgame
Let me see..What do I know about Eric.........He's a great friend, a wonderful Ambassador for Eliters and someone who taught me a great deal about being a good TD.
Now..funny story...*snickers*.......Let's just say, that Eric almost got a piercing in a place that most men are afraid to get one....and not done professionally.....but by his Dog...
I think Eric needs to improve his aim with a frisbee...*L*
