Tell us a little bit about yourself

I am married to a wonderful husband and have three teenagers, a son and two girls. My son and daughter are off to college this fall, and my youngest is in high school. Canadian born, but have been in the States now as husband works here, and my kids feel that this is their home now. Love to laugh, read and enjoy the internet, making friends and people say I am very easygoing.

What do you like to do away from the computer?

I like to watch my kids sports. I love to go to movies and lunch with friends. Have a great book club I belong to.

How long have you played games online?

About 8 years now.

What is your preferred play site? And why?

My favourite site is Pogo. I love the graphics and I love playing Crib there.

How did you learn about Eliters and when did you join?

I was just playing Dominoes in Pogo one day, and heard people having fun playing in Tourneys. I saw the spam and joined. That was almost 5 years ago. I then found my way to Crib pogo, and became a TD in January of 2002.

How did you pick your Elitersí name? Is this your one and only?

My name started out as Calcinci. It stands for Calgary, where I am from, and Cincinnati, where I had moved to. The six is how many tries it took me to get my name to match in both Yahoo and Pogo.

What made you keep coming back to Eliters?

Tha4s easy, the people. I had tried Cas?s ladders, but it just was?t the same.

When did you become a TD, and what made you decide to do so?

January 2002. Some wacky people asked me a few times. I thought, how bad could it be? LOL, 4 and a half years later, I am still here, so that answers that.

What positions have you held in ElitersÖ.and is there anything that you havenít done that you would like to do in the future?

I have just been in Crib Pogo as JrTd, TD, SrTD, AGL, GL, AA1 and now AA. Last stop for me. Happy as a clam right there.

If you could be one person for a day, who would you be and why?

I would like to be my middle daughter for a day, because boy that girl has had so much more fun than I did in high school lol.

What games do you play? What is your favorite game and why?

I play Doms, Gin, Crib, and anything I need to to get my badge in Club Pogo. I still like Crib the best.

Have you learned any new games since being a part of Eliters?

Well, I know most of the card games from my youth sooo long ago, back when you played with real cards. But I have learned many variations on what we used to play.

What in your opinion is the best thing about Eliters

Again, itís the people. In Crib Pogo, even though we live so many miles away from each other, I know there will always be someone to rely on, a shoulder to cry on, or advice when needed. When you move around as much as I seem to, that is always nice to have something familiar you can come back to at the end of the day.

You are stranded on a deserted island, no internet, no phone, no TV, walking along the beach, you come across?

JD riding around with Rach in his scooter basket, Mich with the biggest picnic basket you ever did see, Crib in his purple shirt, Peg twirling her bra in the air, Gramps dancing around a campfire naked, Sun playing the bongos, Erin herding some ducks in a row, Moose tallying up his spreadsheets, Jan with darts in one hand, cards and crib board in the other, and Green looking on wondering what the heck is going on? What else does a person need?

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you since joining Eliters.

Well, it has to be when I sent out a letter to a lot of my Eliters friends that said I am leaving, got a new job with the red cross. I will be leaving my family and my life behind to go work this worthy cause. Here is a picture of my co-workers. (It was a picture of 5 hunky guys, so you could see why I would leave so easily.) Well some of my friends believed me, one in particular, and I still cry with laughter sometimes over it all.

How do you pass the time on your drive to and from work?

Since I drive my computer chair to and from work, I guess you have your answer: I play and host Cribp LMAO.

Who is the one person that you can say has helped you the most here?

That has definitely been Jantrip12. She and I started here within days of each other, and we have been great friends ever since. If there is ever a problem, I can depend on Jan to be there to help me through it, she really is an amazing person.

In your opinion, what makes Eliters different from other leagues?

It is a really well run organization that listens to their TDs and players and will do what they can to make everyone happy. And of course as I have said a few times here, the people. I can call Eliters family, whether they want me to or not.

If you could only use one sentence to describe the way you feel about Eliters, to a prospective new player, what would it be?

You will like our wacky family, we have some really fun, friendly competition here.

When I grow up I want to be just like:

Julia Roberts, trade this bod in any day lol.

Any last word for our Readers?

Donít sweat the little things, remember we are all volunteers and human too, so just sit back, play some games, have fun!!!!
