What do you like to do away from the computer?
Right now I am editing "The Psalms of Aquarius" to get ready for printing. This was done and copyrighted in 1985 and accepted as my Doctorate thesis. I would like to publish it again.
How did you learn about Eliters and when did you join?
I believe it was my friend, Doris Denny, back in the early 2000s. She knew I was rather housebound then and Eliters gave me the opportunity to make new friends and play some great games.
How did you pick your Eliter's name? Is this your one and only?
I have always related to the number 19 and my spiritual work ... is important to me... so heavens1919 it is!
What is your preferred playsite and why?
I am more comfortable with Yahoo. Cribbage doubles is my very favorite, and I have some master points in ACC, when I was able to travel to National Tourneys. Also have grassroots points from local tourneys, which no longer contact me. I like to play backgammon, but lose quite a bit so don't understand why I like it. I can play most card games. I also enjoy dominoes, and enjoy most game entertainment. I did not have time for playing as a child, and making up for lost time now.
Have you learned any new games since being a part of Eliters?
Back in 2002, I got bored with crazy fives and suggested we throw in 7/8 cards instead. Not sure if I originated this or if it was already out and I just did not know it. I am usually ready to play most games. I am also spending more time learning backgammon and hope to get up the courage to play in a dominoes tourney one of these days.
What positions have you held in Eliters and is there anything that you haven't done that
I like being a player. It is only quite recently that I recovered from my 1998 accident so who knows, I truly believe that All Things are possible.
Who is the one person that you can say has helped you the most here.
A lot of the players have been really helpful but purce stands out for me - I don't think she realizes how powerful and charismatic she is. She has a knack of putting things in place, and her interests are always well placed.
In your opinion, what makes Eliters different from other leagues?
The dedication of the TDs and players, the friendliness and camaraderie.
If you had one wish what would it be?
I wish we had assets enough to meet on a weekend, even on a cruise or such.
If you could only use one sentence to describe the way you feel about Eliters, to a prospective new player, what would it be?
You can play at your convenience with friendly people and not be penalized if you don't.
What is the most memorable experience that you have had as a TD or a player, online or at a live event?
I have won a few large tourneys and an anonymously donated silver! The generosity of someone to actually donate a silver moved me greatly.
In 1997 the ACC had a tourney in Mexico and I won my first master points... and five different awards, including the skunk pot of almost $100. I would love to be able to attend a live Eliters event.
If you could be one person for a day, who would you be and why?
Myself, I truly like who I AM.
You are stranded on a deserted island, no internet, no phone, no TV, walking along the beach, you come across...
I come across different animals who befriend me. I learn to observe them and live with Nature.
How do you pass the time on your drive to and from work?
When I DID work, I enjoyed being with my thoughts about what was going on or just life.
What is your favorite book/author?
I love the works of Wattles, Donald Walsch, the Abraham series by Hicks.
What's your guiltiest pleasure?
Eating foods I should not.
When I grow up I want to be just like:
ME. Even as a child, when I did not understand anything, I learned I had to depend on myself, so I did. This meant being unpopular sometimes, because I did not follow the crowd.
