More about zooecium

zooecium

How long have you played online?

4 years, give or take.

Preferred play site Yahoo or Pogo and why?

Yahoo because I've not played in Pogo.

How did you learn about Eliters? And when did you join?

Marc (da bunny of a carnivorous nature) mentioned it one day. I joined about 4 months or so after it started.

What made you join Eliters in the first place? What then kept you coming back?

Anna (herbananna) knew where I lived and had threatened to come visit me with her two friends Smith & Wesson if I did?t join on the spot.

Good people, well run Ts, good people, I'd say mostly the good people.

What games do you play?

I will play anything, I can most usually be found playing BG, Hold 'em, or Gin.

Have you learned new games since being a part of Eliters?

The censorship game.

You mentioned Censorship as the game youíve learned. I was curious why you feel this is a game, and if you feel censorship is always negative?

I feel it is a game because if you play the word game correctly you can get around it ... most censors, especially those that take their job so seriously, are literal, they tend not to have a very large sense of humor.. Though they always seem to have an extremely large sense of themselves and their job.

No I donít always think that censorship is negative .... I do think there is a need to moderate language ...BUT

I think that a place that employs a censor ... who feels it their job to take any criticism out of the forum leads the league to stagnation ... criticism is good, constructive criticism is better. But there should be a place for people to vent their feelings and get feed back ... I also donít think personal attacks are needed.

What in your opinion is the best thing about Eliters?

High quality of people that play and run the BG. Don't have an opinion on most of Elite as it has grown well beyond my ability to evaluate it in its entirety.

In your opinion, what makes Eliters different from other Leagues?

Elite the big picture is different in it's scope. More games/leagues than anyplace else I am familiar with. Also the way they tie them together an example being the decathlon. Totally tournament approach.

Can you recall how many times you have changed your ID? And does the current ID have meaning behind it that you would share with us?

I have never changed my ID, this is the one i first chose.

It comes from the 1959 Websterís dictionary, where it was the last real word that had a meaning to me..... It is a home for single celled animals ... roughly translated as ... animal house from the Greek and Latin

I got a house ... I got animals, plus I liked the movie.

Thats all the questions we have, would you like to add anything else?

Just my thanks to all those people who have volunteered their time over the years to make my free time special and enjoyable ... the TDs, the management.. And yes even the censor. Though I wish that job would be either moderated or abolished. After all, she is just doing what she has been asked to do.

And
