More about idostyling1

idostyling1

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I have 2 sons that are both grown, married and with children of their own. My eldest is 38 with 2 beautiful girls, ages 4 and 21 months. My youngest, whom some of you may know is s10blazzer and married to bump2poss35, is 33 with 7 children, 4 boys and 3 girls, ages 21 months up to 15 years. That is 9 grandchildren for me and I love it. I went to college for the first time in my 40s to get a BA in business. Then I went to beauty school in my 50s and now I am getting my second BA in Ministry.

What do you like to do away from the computer?

If you ask my hubby he will say that I am never away from the computer lol. But, I love going to church and singing. I am an avid fisherwoman. I can not imagine living where you can not go fishing. I prefer ocean fishing to lake fishing but would drop a worm in the bathtub if I thought there might be a fish there lol.

How did you learn about Eliters and when did you join?

My son, s10blazzer got me hooked over 5 years ago when he was hosting in Poolp.

How did you pick your Eliter's name? Is this your one and only?

It is what I do. I am a hairstylist so idostyling1 just seemed to fit. Basically it is my only one but I did have to add the 1 to the end because of some problems with too many junk emails.

What is your preferred playsite and why?

Well my favorite site is Yahoo and my preferred game is DOY because I am the HA but mostly because dominoes is such a fun game.

What made you keep coming back to Eliters?

The players. I have met so many wonderful people here.

What games do you play? And what is your favorite game and why?

I like to play and support several leagues but my favorites to play in are DOY and DOP, GINY AND GINP.

Have you learned any new games since being a part of Eliters?

I have learned that I am a pretty decent speller in Qwerty. I like to play when my son, s10blazzzer, is hosting there. I am still waiting to learn euchre (after I learn how to pronounce it lol)

What positions have you held in Eliters and is there anything that you haven't done that

I started as a TD in Poolp, transferred to DOP and became the AA followed by HA, transferred to Giny as a TD and then to DOY where I became the AA and now HA. I would like to be a part of Corp for yahoo games.

Who is the one person that you can say has helped you the most here.

That is a difficult choice. My son trained me, giving me a good base but when I first became an HA, I donít know what I would have done with Hershey. He was always there to wipe away my tears of frustration. I never told him that so I hope he reads this. Thank You Hershey!!

In your opinion, what makes Eliters different from other leagues?

I have never been a part of other leagues but from what I can see by sharing a lobby with them it has to be the friendships and support from everyone.

What in your opinion is the best thing about Eliters?

The friendships we build with each other.

If you had one wish what would it be?

To go to Africa to preach in Johnchukwu60ís church.

If you could only use one sentence to describe the way you feel about Eliters, to a prospective new player, what would it be?

When I need to smile and have some fun with nice people, this is the place to be.

What is the most memorable experience that you have had as a TD or a player, online or at a live event?

Winning my first high stakes rr in Giny. That was a rush, but the most memorable was when I heard that one of my Eliter friends was really having some hard times and needed some help to feed their family. I just had to tell a couple of people and there was food and help sent out right away. They were able to get a webcam to have their children thank everyone for the pizza and everything. That was AWESOME!!

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you since joining Eliters?

I was hosting all night in the DOP marathon and fell asleep on my keyboard. They couldnít buzz me because my keys were being held down.

What is the most embarrassing thing, (that you can talk about of course).

Reporting losses in my rr and getting them all backwards. Couldnít figure out why they were all so upset with me. That is why I tell all my new TDs that we all makes mistakes. I have made plenty of them.

If you could be one person for a day, who would you be and why?

Maybe Oprah Winfrey, then I could buy a house and put it in my name so the next day it would still me mine lol.

You are stranded on a deserted island, no internet, no phone, no TV, walking along the beach, you come across...

Well hopefully I would come across a water proof laptop with satellite access and a fully charged battery and maybe a couple of extras, so I could play in Eliters until rescue came.

How do you pass the time on your drive to and from work?

I listening to books on CD or singing to Christian music.

What is your favorite book/author?

Other than the Bible, I donít really have a favorite but I enjoy the strangeness of Dean Koontz.

What's your guiltiest pleasure?

That is easy, Baskin Robbins 31 Flavors chocolate/peanut butter ice cream.

When I grow up I want to be just like:

The woman that treated me like her own granddaughter. She never had a bad word to say about anyone and taught me the love of Jesus.

Any last words for our readers?

As we play in and around Eliter leagues we meet people from all around the world with different life styles and cultures. I hope that we can use our playing time in Eliters as a way of understanding each other and bridging the gaps between us.
