Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I enjoy long walks on the beach a glass of wine in front of a roaring fire.......umm...not what you wanted?
What other interests or hobbies do you have (other than Eliters of course)?
I knit, and read, I love music, I am attempting to learn guitar and unlike Kimbaaa, my hubby hasn't duct taped my strings yet!!
How did you learn about Eliters and when did you join?
I joined Eliters 6 1/2 years ago after stumbling onto it. I came in to check out the cribbage in pogo, and was approached there to join the league. It took 2 wonderful TDs an hour to walk me through signing up. (I love you guys if you are out there)
How did you pick your Eliters' Name - does it have any special significance?
I have no imagination and Sheena Princess Warrior was too long.
Tell us one thing about yourself that we are unlikely to know.
Hmm that's a tough one. I've been with Eliters a long time.
What makes Eliters special?
Well having read many of these interviews I'd have to say that I agree with everyone so far, its about the people that you meet. I think in addition to that though, I like the formats used within Eliters. I have seen other leagues that allow you to pick your partners for playing and finals and I don't prefer that style.
What games do you play? Are there any other games you would like to try?
I play Euchre, Cribbage, Backgammon, Doms, Spades, hearts, gin, pino (sorta), canasta, pool, bowling - I just play none really well *lol*.
What is your absolute favorite game - and who taught you to play?
I'd have to say Euchre - my parents taught me when I was very young. I remember watching my Mom and Dad play with family or friends and my Dad used to get goofy and try cheating in various ways, like....scratching his forehead with the cards, turned so that everyone could see what was in his hand.
Do you currently hold any position in Eliters? Is there any particular position you would be interested in?
Currently I am the HA in Euchre Yahoo. And unless Issa is going to bequeath the league to me....nah I'm good! *lol*.
What is your proudest achievement in life?
I have 2, I call them Kaleb and Madison, my children. (I know sappy)
What is the most important thing for you in tournament play?
To have fun!!
If you could offer one suggestion to improve Eliters, what would it be?
Bottle it and sell it on the streets?
If you had one wish what would it be?
Well I'd love to spend some time traveling around, meeting some of the Eliters I haven't been fortunate enough to meet, but its already been done! (looks around for Marty)
If you could only use one sentence to describe the way you feel about Eliters, to a prospective new player, what would it be?
I would say, Come join us! We are fun! Friendly! and Freakin addictive! *lol*
What is the most memorable experience that you have had as a TD or a player, online or at a live event?
Ohh man, there are sooooo many. I think that one of my most memorable times with Eliters was the live event in Chicago, and getting to meet so many people and have such a fun time.
What is the funniest thing that has happened to you since joining Eliters?
Well this is where Dog wants me to say the time he told me that he was going to be on the show trick my truck...but umm..NO...I still don't think it's funny. I would, however, have to say that most of the really funny times, have involved him in one way or another...people think I'm crazy....but he, by far surpasses me.
What is the most embarrassing thing that you have experienced (that you can talk about of course).
One time I was talking to Lynnie about something, and as it turns out, it was someone else's messenger window I was typing into.
If you could be one person for a day, who would you be and why?
Well..I have this little fantasy about coming back as Patrick Swayze's spandex underwear (what do you mean you are censoring this?)
You are given five minutes to evacuate your house, the kids and pets are safe - which three items would you grab?
Well isn't this interesting they were just talking about this on the radio today...I'm a woman, sorry folks its a bit sappier then the guys....our picture box, my address book, the keys to my car.
How do you pass the time on your drive to and from work?
Crank up the music, sing, drink coffee, try to stay awake, try to remember who I need to talk to at work, try to remember who I need to talk to online, try to remember to talk to hubby in between, count the flashing lights at the street lights, try to find new things of interest that I haven't seen in my previous 2500 trips back and forth... ok, you get the idea. (I drive an hour each way.)
Name your three favorite movies or tv shows:
Oh tough one...Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The Quiet Man, and I wouldn't be a fortyish woman if I didn't say anything with Patrick Swayze?
Which celebrity would you like to banish to rehab permanently?
Britney Spears and One_baddoggy
