What are the biggest changes you have seen in Elite since its early years?
We have a much bigger family with ties stronger than ever, and love is all around.
There have been so many major accomplishments in the last 9 years - if you were to pick your top improvements which would those be?
- Professional system with features accommodating all tastes, and fully automated.
- Fast Site with no interruptions whatsoever; unless I make a change and load the wrong code causing the site to crash
- The Hot Tourneys; becoming the only League on the Internet providing 24/7 Tournaments monitored by TDs
- The Badges; it added color to the site, happiness and competitiveness among our Members
You run a major international consulting firm as well as being President of Eliters - how do you find the time? Do you have any other interests outside of these two activities?
I am still the Chairman and Managing Director of the consulting firm; however, I am not carrying any management consulting activity; I am concentrating my attention to web sites development; my sole baby and preferable hobby remains Eliters.
What is the biggest challenge for you personally in running the league today?
Keeping all Members happy; although this is impossible, as few have incredible and impossible demands; thinking that Eliters is generating Millions of Dollars, and that they should be paid to play and have fun. Thank God Steve is there to handle all these situations with his superb wisdom and patience.
What is your vision for Eliters over the next 5 years?
Continued growth and development; remaining as the top Family League on the Net. I have so many ideas on my projects list; all we need is 10 Lisa, Nancy, Linda, Pam, Tricia, Michele, Evie, and Heather; OMG did I say that, Steve will get mad at me now; as if 1 of each Lady is not enough; sorry Steve, let us try to find 10 Naji, Joey and Bob; is that better?
What gives you the greatest joy in your life?
Many things, not in particular order: Success in completing and running a project and solving impossible problems; Seeing happy people appreciating what I am doing; Playing with my grandchildren, although this is only once a year; Playing games, and participating in Eliters activities; and last but not least Eating and Smoking; don't criticise me for that!!!!
What would you tell a prospective member who is trying to choose between EliteLeague and other, similar leagues? (a repeat from your first interview)
We want you to join our Family; we have the most civil Members, and the most professional staff. Our site is the fastest, friendliest and most advanced gaming site on the Net (our main competitor MyLeague; it took them 9 years to start improving their site, they are still miles away).
You are also a fierce competitor - what is your favorite game? Who taught you to play it originally?
My favorite Game is Backgammon; my Father taught me to play it when I was 4 years old; 30 years ago, lol.
What can we as players and hosts do to improve the playing experience for everyone in Elite?
Games are not Wars; nobody died or got hurt losing a game; we need to be patient with new and elderly players; help them nicely; guide them to the right moves to improve their playing skills without hurting them; most will welcome advice if you ask them first.
Do you have any idea of what you have done for so many people by starting this league and growing it to what it is today?
The loyalty of all Members, and the unparalleled support offered by the corporate team, are the best expression of how our family appreciate our League; without all these people nothing could have been achieved. The greatest thing about our family is the warm welcome everyone receives when they show in one of our lobbies; this is the best representation of how they feel about what I have done; not to mention, the many appreciation messages and emails I get daily; this is what keeps me wanting to always give more and more to my big happy family.
Any last words for our readers?
Keep losing to me; I feel great when I win, besides collecting some YEPs to pay the payroll each month. I love you all...
