Memories of Southern9999
Eliters has lost a good friend and family member.
Southern9999 (Scot) 50, of Pulaski VA, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2007.
Scot suffered from a sometimes debilitating illness yet in all the years I knew him he never let on, never failed to show a bright and happy attitude in the lobby or at the tables and with other players. That speaks to what a great man he truly was.
Adclerk2001: “a fine card player. always had a warm and happy presence.”
Juliebayougal: “scot (sic) ....was a fantastic person.....always seemed happy and was a peacemaker when needed”
Lawman20695: “southern9999 (scot) was my 1st GL in hearty , was one of my mentors, he taught me how to use snagit/keytext. He shadowed my 1st Tourney, only thing he told me to remember was to Breathe........and the rest would fall into place. I recall his daughter taking ill and he saying that he had to call off a couple gigs. (he played in a band) to be with her during recovery, that was Scot he gave never expect something in return, He will be missed. God Rest Your Soul......”
M0ncherami: “i played here in spades with him many times..and probably the last time he may have been here was around the time of his death....he came in and we played a guy/girl tourney together as partners..and most likely it was around that time....but now kinda cuts like a knife knowing that was the last time i will ever get to play with our Eliters Brother”

“Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same. ~Flavia Weedn, Forever, ©You are a footprint on our hearts Dear Scot, you will be missed
