Many of our members have been touched by the devastating tornadoes and floods over the past few weeks. one_baddoggy actually lives in Joplin where a third of the town was pretty much wiped out by the recent tornado. Their losses are tremendous so please keep all of them in your prayers. For more details see Pup's post.
We all wonder what we can do at times like this - some of us pray, some donate and then there is our favorite dairy farmer crittermilker who actually did something about it by sending some of his herd to a fellow farmer.
I am sending 5 heifers and a bull (all Holsteins) to a dairy farmer there who lost everything but one barn and a shed. He plans to live in the shed and keep the barn for the cows that I and a neighbor (5 heifers) are sending him. He was so damn grateful for the cows, I felt like I was doing nothing and ashamed I didnt do more. I am sending feed and hay for them along with the critters. Wish I could do more right now. Just got through milking and was so grateful that all my girls are safe and productive. We had a late winter here in MN (snow covered until middle of May and rain ever since) Am just now getting the seeds in the ground for soybeans and corn. Pray for every farmer you know cause this year especially we really need those prayers and a good hot summer. We had a tornado in our big city of Minneapolis and one in a suburb, but nothing like Missouri and Alabama have been through. We are all praying for them and there isnt one day that goes by that I dont ask for healing and prosperity for every Eliter and thier families. God bless us all.
We are all proud of Lennie for his generosity. May the sun shine and the waters recede for all.
