Our intrepid world traveller cajrn1957 recently returned from a visit to Peru. It was clearly an incredible and inspiring voyage despite the effects of altitude sickness, being stuck at the airport because her friend was held up by a rockfall, not being allowed to take luggage to Macchu Piccu (toothbrush only) - here is an excerpt from her FB entry:
Okay, I survived Macchu Piccu and the wearing of dirty clothes! I also survived yet another wild taxi ride up and down the mountains back to Cusco...it's really scary cuz ya never know when you go around a curve if 3 llamas, 2 pigs and 6 sheep might be crossing the street together while the taxi is going 70 miles an hour! Macchu Picchu was magnificent by the way, but I am so tired of walking up hills!
I love experiencing love through Carol Ann's eyes.
As we all recovered from the loss of mum/marge - many of us celebrated her life in different ways. We had a fairly amazing experience in criby.
First, I hosted a large ms - the winner of the tourney was marge's dear friend lpoolvally3.. Now val is not a bad crib player but the tourney had all our very best players competing. The winner - lpoolvally3.
A week later I hosted another ms this time with a big YEP prize and a silver prize. The tourney winner - lpoolvally3. The winner of the silver - lpoolvally3.
Now don't tell me that she wasn't getting a little help from a friend above!
