2 YEPs Worth
It is February already and we have finally recovered from all the December and January festivities - and now Valentines day looms. With all the demands to prove your love or that you are loved - and the more money that is spent, the more you are loved/loving.
Now that just drives me crazy. It is a fake day folks, and the only ones who are really celebrating are the chocolate manufacturers, florists, greeting card businesses and, of course, the restaurants.
It is sort of a stupid day. We don't need any of those accoutrements to show love.
And for those very many people who are forgotten, it is just another reminder of their loneliness.
Why don't we all just express our love and appreciation to those we love on any and maybe every day.
And let us all try to bring a smile to someone who may not be as fortunate - you know, all those forgotten people out there - the senior citizens sitting alone waiting for someone, anyone.; the waitress who serves you your coffee, the old guy at the corner, the scared looking girl at the bus stop... anyone..
We can make this a better world, one smile at a time.
By the way, I love love love all the tds who work so hard to bring us tournaments and are willing to take the time of day to greet us and make us feell part of our Eliters family.
