Regarding my dad

Hi all my eliters family,

My dad is currently holding his own and enjoying what time he has left. The Hospice nurses and aides are with him most of the time giving me time away but I'm just not comfortable leaving him---I guess I feel if my hand isn't in it, then it's just not good enough so I stay. He's slowly getting weaker but is still very headstrong so to speak.

I'm enjoying all my precious time with him and have entrusted him to the Lord. I close my eyes and can still hear my mom telling me as a child that God never gives us more to bear than he feels we can handle. That is what keeps me going.

I truely have been blessed with great parents and still to this day after 10 long years miss my mom dearly. I know I will miss my dad just as much but will never forget the years they were here with me. When the Lord has taken my dad home I'll be able to smile as I know God will have them both in his loving arms and I'll have them both in my heart.

Thank you all for your caring and prayers... it's friends like yourselves that truely make the difference... Thank you.

Jo (kottenkandyz)
