Changes to EDS Period Pages
A question was raised by Elite Members regarding the Yahoo Messenger Status on the EDS Page, and if this has been removed permanently. Issa (Balouza) answered this question, quickly and expediently as he always does with the top 4 reasons:
- Some players have the Online Status always on, although they are away from the keyboard.
- Some players never use or let the Yahoo Messenger show their status.
- The Eliters Messenger is supposed to be the only official communication tool in EDS.
- The Yahoo Messenger Online Status was slowing the page.
So a few changes were made.
In order to increase the speed and efficiency of the EDS Tourney Page, the links to players emails and Yahoo Messenger were removed. It was determined that these are no longer necessary since we are using Eliters Messenger as the official method of contact for EDS.
This change increased the refresh rate of the EDS Tourney Page by 50%. Great job programmers!
If you still wish to see when your opponents are online, you may type their ID into your Yahoo Messenger list, but be aware that many Eliters come online without starting their Messenger, and just as when we had the info on tourney page, they won't show up as online when they are.
Please post your requests for times to play on Elite Messenger, and check there at least once a day for messages from your fellow Division mates.
