Thank you to all who played and hosted the August 2006 Olympics, we look forward to seeing you all again next month for these fun events.

In cases where the points are identical, we look to other factors to decide placement. The criteria we used:

  1. Number of first place finishes. If equal, we turn to number of 2nd place finishes (and on to 3rd place finishes, etc).
  2. Placement in the Hearts tourney. Since there is no runner up in this tourney (2-4th get the same number of points), this puts players at a disadvantage. So, if one player places higher in this tourney than the person they're tied with, we use this as part of the weighting.
  3. Number of 1x1 victories as compaired to 2x2 victories. Since this event rewards single champions (rather than teams) we look to see how well these players did in competitions with other single-player events.

As we go forward, if these guidelines need to be revised, we will take all of the pieces into consideration.
