Are you an Olympian?
If you read the Hall of Fame and see all the names of some really great players it might look as if playing in the Olympics is only for those few who excel at playing just about every game there is. The reality is... the Olympics offer regular players who are willing to try and play in more than one league the chance to win a badge, some medals, and some YEPs.
The Olympics are open to all Premium members, and seeded on a QUARTERLY basis - all at 75 YEPs! Players in Team Leagues (2x2) Tourneys will choose their own partner.
In Yahoo the following games form part of this event: Spades, Literati, Pinochle, Cribbage, Pool, Euchre, Hearts, Backgammon, Gin Rummy, Dominoes and Canasta. This event is held the second weekend of the month.
In Pogo we offer the same games (with the exception of Literati but the addition QWERTY). Note Gin, Canasta and QWERTY require Pogo Club Membership).
The GameDesire event is temporarily on hold, but it will be back as soon as we build these leagues up more. You can help out by playing in tourneys in these fun leagues or applying to be a TD.
You can find the schedule for the upcoming events on the Events Page.
All Tournaments participants will be awarded points based on each tournament ranking as follows:
- Winner 11 Points
- Runner-up 8 Points
- Semi Finalists 2 x 6 Points
- Quarter Finalists 4 x 4 Points
- 9th to 16th 8 x 3 Points
- All others 2 Points Each.
Each Play Site hosts the Olympics on a different weekend with a two hour gap between Olympics Event on a rotating basis, so there are plenty of opportunities to play.
In the words of Confucius - NO PLAY NO WIN.
