Tourney Round Points Presentation

In order to avoid any further confusion about how tourneys are structured and to make it perfectly clear to all players, Eliters has introduced a new points presentation method:

Points or Scores

A 1 to 4 Digits number will be used to express the Points or Score to end the Game; examples: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 11, 61, 95, 100, 121, 125, 250, 400, 500, 1500, 2000, 3000 etc.

Number of Hands

The letter h will be used to specify the Number of Hands to be played; to be followed by the Points or Score to end the Game; examples:

  • 1h = Blitz
  • 2h = 2 Hands
  • 3h = 3 Hands
  • 4h = 4 Hands
  • 5h = 5 Hands
  • 2h3000 = 2 Hands or 3000 Score to win whichever comes first
  • 5h500 = 5 Hands or 500 Score to win whichever comes first

Number of Wins required to advance

The letter w will be used to specify the Number of Games to Win to advance; to be followed by the Points or Score to end each Game; examples:

  • 2w = 2 out of 3 Games, or the first to win 2 Games advances
  • 3w = 3 out of 5 Games, or the first to win 3 Games advances
  • 2w121 = 2 out of 3 Games up to 121 Score, or the first to win 2 Games to 121 advances
  • 3w121 = 3 out of 5 Games up to 121 Score, or the first to win 3 Games to 121 advances

Game Format

The symbol / will be used to identify the Game Format; to be followed by the Points or Score to end each Game; examples:

  • 6/100 = 6 Bones in Dominoes; Games up to 100 Score
  • 9/250 = 9 Bones in Dominoes; Games up to 250 Score
  • 3/10-175 = 3 Minutes and 10 Seconds per turn in Literati; Games up to 175 Score
  • 5/10-150 = 5 Minutes and 10 Seconds per turn in Literati; Games up to 150 Score

This presentation format will be added to all Leagues Help Topics with examples related to the Game.
